Cross - Country Skiing - Engadin in 16 weeks - Intermediate

Engadin, here we go!

This is a 16-week plan for skate skiing for Engadin Ski Marathon.

This plan is designed for an intermediate recreational skier, who has 4-6 hours available for training per week. (For individual plans for a beginner or advanced skier, please contact me). You are a busy professional and can ski mostly on weekends and otherwise dedicate training for cross-training such as nordic walking, swimming, biking, elliptical and strength training during the week. A strength training program is included in this plan.

Your longest ski workout will be 3 hours.


This plan includes:


Trainingprogram through Trainingpeaks
Flexible training plan with different modes of training.
X-country specific strength training programs at home/gym
Ski-specific strength is on the program as either skiing without poles or double poling.

You will also do ski drills weekly. Different modes of interval training follow the program throughout.

If you happen to miss a workout, please do not try to make up, simply move on to the next workout.
